Here are a couple more BRAZIEL families living in TX in the 1910 and 1920 censuses. These people are listed as "white" on the census, unless noted otherwise. Anything in [brackets] was difficult to read on the census page, so it is hopefully a good guess. ---- 1910 Census - Coryell Co., TX Holbert [Crossing] & Grove Road BRAZIEL, John M. head; age 63; m.ca.1858; b.MS/TN/S.Car.; farmer; general farm <b.ca.1847> BRAZIEL, [Martha] wife; age 63; b.AL/GA/GA [Mc Stever], John [W.] grandson; age 20; b.TX/TX/MS; farm laborer; general farm [Mc Stever], Robert [W] grandson; age 18; b.TX/TX/MS; farm laborer; general farm [Rensina], Otis boarder; age 30; b.TX/S.Car/TX; farm laborer; general farm [Rensina], Virgil boarder; age 5; b.TX/S.Car/TX ---- 1920 census - Raine/Rains Co., TX BRAZIEL, John head; age 40; b.TX/[TN]/[TN]; farmer; [general] BRAZIEL, Lula wife; age 33; b.GA/GA/GA BRAZIEL,[Lias/Liao] son; age [9]; b.TX/TX/GA BRAZIEL, John son; age [7]; b.TX/TX/GA [middthon], Clitus [nephew]; age [16; b.TX/[United States]/[TN] ------------------------------------------------ I think the first family here may be the same John and Martha BRAZIEL family found in the 1900 census (see previous post by me about this), and that the grandsons, John and Robert are the "Johnney" and "Robbert" from the 1900 census who appear to be the children of John and Martha's daughter Mollie. On the 1900 census, Mollie and the boys are living with her parent, using the BRAZIEL last name, and Mollie appears to be listed as divorced. This is, of course, merely assumption on my part, as I have no further info other than these census records. Hope this helps someone. -T.N.
