Braziel Family Genealogy Forum

Austin ... I don't think I have ever had a reply to my posting concerning the Braziel family. So, I was happy to hear from you. Unfortunately, I can't tell you anything about Willian H. and Martha's children. I have exactly the same info as you concerning their names and birth dates, but was never ever able to find more. As a matter of info, I know that William and Martha were in Burnet Co., TX. (there is only one t in Burnet and it is pronounced Burn-it) as of the 1870 and 1880 census takings. Children George, Lem and Jobe were in the 1880 census with their parents and therefore must have been born in Burnet Co. Since there was no 1890 census, I can't say where the family was located. The 1900 and 1910 census info locates the Crawfords in Menard Co., TX. Of course, that is where the family finally settled. I was through Menard about eight years ago and tried to find something more. However, I was unsuccessful. Maybe I just talked to the wrong people. While the Crawford family is a step away from my Braziel line, I was always interested in Martha and what happened to her, because I understand that she was very close to her brother (my great grandfather) Joseph "Jobe" Braziel. I suspect that sort of shows when you consider Martha's third son was named Jobe. I have a picture of Martha and son Jobe. If you could provide me with your mailing address, I'd be happy to send a copy. Best wishes ... Harry
