Hi Billy,
Thanks for answering my query. I had really never heard it pronounced that way before. Billy Bob Bert Brazell also told me that is the way it is pronounced. My husband has never known any of his Brazell kinfolks, so, we weren't sure how to say it.
Sorry about your computer crashing. I don't remember where you fit into the Brazell line. I really haven't found anything new on James Brazell, but, I am pretty sure, from circumstantial information, that his father was the Jacob Brazell in Guilford Co., NC.
