I have extensive lineage on this Brasselle line. Britton Brassell(e) is listed as a RS in the 1827 Land Lottery of Ga and lived in Jones Co., Ga. A lineage has been established with the DAR on his service. I do not know who his father was. There was another Britton Brassell who lived in Jackson Co., GA who was also a RS. I do not know their relationship. I have kept up the Alford family cemetery in Pike Co. GA until the last two years. Jack Grubbs of Thomaston, GA took over from me and has done some work there in keeping the weeds down. I am still keeping the Brasselle/Alford cemetery in Fayette County, GA. This cemetery was established on the LL owned by William J. Brassell(e). Some of his daughters and granddaughters married Alfords and that is why so many Alfords are buried there.
