Thanks Penny, Please don't discount GA as a connection to TN. I found a Ellison Lacy Braswell who has a son named Ephraim in Tenn. Ellison has a brother named Leroy Lacy and Thomas LAcy. I have a William W. LACY Braswell, Ephraim Lacy Braswell, two James Lacy Braswells and a James Lacy Moore. This Lacy name in the Tennesee Braswells through Boardvine and my Lacy's through Valentine may have something in common somewhere in the lines. It's only a theory though. by the way all the Lacy's are middle names for MALES. Oddly enough there are no females named Lacy in both these lines. My Valentine Braswell is NOT the son of Richard Braswell and Obedience Snow then. The book was written long ago and although I'm sure that the author did the best with what information he had for the time, he got my Valentine mixed up with another. There is another Valentine who was born 1765, but he left SC and moved to MO I think. My Valentine was born ten years later in SC in 1774 or 1775 and this is the Valentine that is in that book. Right Valentine, wrong parents. A lot of the information in that book has been updated by the family and I can't wait until someone writes a new book with all the new information. My Jonathan D. Braswell is listed on the LDS website all wrong too. I submitted my entire family file, but LDS says it will take up to six months to post. If there is ever anything I can look up for you, I am located in a great spot for Georgia research, just let me know. Kay Braswell Dawson Notify Administrator about this message?
