Notice in the Mason City (Cerro Gordo, Iowa) Globe Gazette; Tuesday, May 16, 1939; p. 16, column 5:
COUPLES GRANTED LICENSES TO WED
NEW HAMPTON - Robert Patterson, 22, Northwood, and Geneva Brazel, 20, Carpenter; Charles Watson, 21, and Eva Varisco, 25, both of Webster City; Robert H. Dietz, 26, and Elizabeth Taylor, 21, both of Waterloo; Keith Kincannon, 24, and Geraldine Johnson, 18, both of Boscobel, Wis., have been issued marriage licenses.
There is another article about this marriage which spells Geneva's last name as Brozel. I have posted it on the Patterson forum.
