Thi is pretty late--three years! You wrote:
"I have an Anson Brazee born in Salisbury, Conn., Feb. 7, 1817. His parents were Francis and Mary ?. He was one of nine children. Can you fill in any of these blanks for me?"
Anson's mother Mary seems to have had no last name. His fahter's parents were Nicholas Brazee and Elizabeth (Silvernail/Silbernagle) Brazee.Nicholas was born in 1754.
Another correspondent listed Francis, father of Anson, as having been born near Gallatin NY in Dec 10, 1789.He was baptized Jan 31, 1790.
The brothers and sisters of Anson were (not in order) Peter B born 1810 in Conn,Harriet E, born 1811, Loring, b. approximately 1812, Frederick, b. 1814, Anson, b. Feb 7, 1817, Samuel S>, b. Oct 19, 1819 in Salisbury, Francis, b. Nov 17, 1821, John N born 1834 in Conn, and I G Brazee.
Original ancestor as far back as I can figure is Christoffel Brazee born in Holland around 1660.
My line comes down through Peter B Brazee to his grandaughter Emma Brazee Stone who married the mysterious Edward Derway Prim and moved to Sequim Washington in 1908.
