Henrico County,Virginia Deeds 1677-1705 page 100:[this came from Deed Book covering 1688-1697 page 718:] William Porter,Jr.of Henrico County ,for 2000 pounds tobacco,to Henry Brazeale of Charles City County,200 acres:being part of a patent to me and Daniel Price for 440 acres on north side of James River,near Chickahominy Swamp ,next to land formerly Lionel Morris's and Gillys Creek. Wit:George Cox,All.Clerke.Signed William(mark"M")Porter,Jr. Rec.1 August 1697. Margaret,wife of William,relinquished her dower right. ___________________ Henrico County,Virginia Deeds 1706-1737 Page 13: [this came from deed book covering 1706-09,page 107] Henry Brazeale Jr. of Co. and Parish of Henrico,planter, for 5 pounds,10 shillings,to Thomas Harwood of Henrico Co., 100 acres in Henrico Parish,on north side of James River,bounded by Robert Green and Henry Brazeale Sr. Dated 2 August 1708.Wit: Edward Curd,Luke Smith.Signed Henry Brazeal Jr. Elizabeth,wife of Brazeal,relinguished her dower right. page 15: John Pleasants of Co. and Par. of Henrico,for 7000 lbs.tobacco,to Benjamin Bridgewater,Thomas Bridgewater,and William Bridgewater,sons of Samuel Bridgewater,carpenter,that land on north side of James River near the Falls,[this said to be present day Richmond....jeb]which was mortgaged to my father John Plesants Sr.,deceased,by Samuel Bridgewater,with other goods and chattels for 8542 lbs. tobacco 7 August 1689,release the land except for privilege of building a mill on any part with 5 acres,where said Pleasants shall think fit.Land is to be divided as follows:that part of Gills(sic) Creek to Benjamin:that part on lower side of Henry Brazeal's branch to Thomas; and lower part to William.Wit:Edward Good,William Giles, Signed:John Pleasants Rec.1 Nov.1708. page 38:Robert Green of Co. and Par.of Henrico,planter ,to Thomas Harwood of same, land on north side of James River,50 acres,dated 3 Feb.,1713,Wit.Henry(Mark"JB"),Wm(mark "WE")Edwards.
