My ggrandmother was a Brazeal in Virginia. My dad's cousin has some information her mother found. According to her, Brazeals are decended from Irish royalty. They came to America with the French Hugeonots. They were apparently some of those who fled to France during one of their religious conflicts. I don't believe they were Hugeonots but travelled with them because they were tolerant of other religions. My line settled in Powhatan Co./ Amelia Co. VA.
There was a Henry Breazeal in old Henrico records of 1703. That area is now probably a part of CHesterfield Co., because of later boundary changes.

I hope you find this helpful.
