I'm looking for information on Francis Brayton's ancestry and what his wife's last name might be. This is the information I have at present:

Originally spelled Breton [French origin].
Savage states: "Brayton, Francis, Portsmouth, R.I. 1643, when he was admitted to dwell, by wife Mary had Francis, Stephen, and four daughters Martha Pierce, the eldest, Elizabeth Bourne, and Sarah, wife of Thomas Gatchell, as by his will of Oct 17, 1690, pro. Sept 5, 1692, we gain their names, and that of his widow Mary; we learn also, that he had daughter Mary, which died before 1671. In a depon. made Jan 30, 1674, he is said to be 62 years old."
