Peter Bruan or Brown came from Germany the Lake Constance area of Germany. He was a butcher and raised hogs and would sell from door to door. He married Mary Ann Hesilar or Hessilar or any other possible spelling. She couldn't speak English. No history on Mary Ann only that she was Catholic. It is believed that Peter became Catholic in Ripley, Ohio.
