Yep...Barbara Hannah Brott, daughter of Charles Nicholas and Abigail (BLUNT) Brott, was the second wife of Abraham Francisco, son of Dr. John Alvin Francisco, MD and Elizabeth NEAR (Neher). According to what I have, Abraham and Barbara had nine children: Charles Henry Francisco, Lucian Jess "Lute" Francisco, Margaret Francisco, Maria Francisco, Lyman Francisco, Oliver Francisco, Chauncey D. Francisco, John Franklin Francisco and Levi Francisco. According to what I have in my database, Charles was born
in Cuyahoga Co., OH. Lute, Margaret, Maria and Lyman were born in Grass Lake, Jackson Co., MI...which is located about 35 miles east of where I live. Oliver, Chauncey, John and Levi were born in McHenry Co., IL.

John Alvin Francisco was one of the ten children of Abraham and Hester (VAN DER COOK) Francisco. My 4th great grandparents were Henry and Anna (Francisco) VanDerCook. Henry was Hester VDC's brother and Anna was Abraham Francisco's sister. In addition to these two marriages, Levi Francisco, another of Anna Francisco's brothers, married Hester VDC's sister, Sarah VDC and fathered two sons by her before she died. The three VDC siblings were the children of Michael and Cornelia (VAN NESS) VanDerCook. The three Francisco siblings were the children of Johannis Hendricksz and Aeltje (DOREMUS) Francisco. If this isn't confusing enough, these VanDerCook and Francisco sibling martial partners were also first cousins once removed to one another. This happened because Laventje VanDerCook, Michael VDC's elder sister, married Hendrick Francisco, thus becoming the grandmother of the Francisco siblings. There are all manner of other family intermarriages as well, so you may want to prepare yourself to deal with a LOT of confusion and a possible massive headache!

On account of having had some of my research shanghaied and posted online without my permission, I am no longer willing to share detailed genealogical data electronically. I will gladly send hard copies (i.e., printouts) of what I have in my database to anyone who requests it for reimbursement of the cost of printing and mailing. (The rationale behind this is that most people won't bother to type it all back into their computer!) Contact me privately if you're interested. Please be advised that this could conceivably run to 1000 or more pages, depending on how "in depth" you want to go! You may just want to throw in the towel and ask me questions...which I would also prefer to handle via private emails.
