Kay, you might want to check your research on your DVD that you were so kind to send me a copy of. According to your research, Richard Bracewell II is alive and well in both 1727 and 1729 and not deceased by 1725 as you posted. Look on you DVD in your NC folder and Bertie NC Records (3) and then to Bertie Co Index #50. It states: DB B pg 385, Richard Bracewell & wife, Eleanor to Owin Kelly 30 lbs for 150 acres on NS of Morattock River within Arsaro Meadow at Village Swamp & mouth of Holly Bush Meadow. Adj: John Cotton, Green Pond Meadow. Patent by Bracewell. Wit: William Ruffin, John Hart FEB COURT 1727 Edw. Mashborne D C/C Then go to your Bertie Co Index #76 and per your research it states: DB C, pg 194 Richard Braswell & wife Eleanor to James Norfleet of Perquimmans Precinct. FEB 10, 1729. 100 Pds for 150 ac on NS of Roanoke River in Ursara Meadow. Part of two tracks surveyed by Braswell. Adj: Elizabeth Jefferys, John Hilliard, Owen Kelly, John Cotton at Holly Bush Meadow. Wit: Thomas Bryant, William Wilson, James Moore. I am sure this was just an oversight as I know what a good researcher you are. I know you will want to recant the posting on this website and resurrect Richard II back to the living so that researchers can follow his paper trail until he really does die. Thanks again for sending me your researh on the DVD. I am taking your advice and spending hours each week studying it and you are right, it will take a year or two.
