I noticed your information & am writing regarding Brassfields and GEES.My Gr.Gr.Grandf. was SEDRICK Perry Brassfield & my Gr.Gr.Grandm was Matilda GEE. I too am trying to tie into the GEEs better. I understand that Matilda descends from Samuel Gee and wife (?) I have the information in a book. I was in touch with a lady in Arkansas a couple months back regarding GEES, she sent some information, but I am still waiting on more promised. Will be anxious to hear what all you have. This lady also says we tie into the Atteberrys.
My line of Brassfield from Sedrick down is his # 5 child General Sheridan Brassfield, they called him "Sherd" & his first name was actually General. He married my Gr.Grandm Addie Belle (Hinsley) Brassfield who later after "Sherd" was killed married Wm. "Bud" Lawson. Sherd & Addie Belle Brassfield had two girls, my Gr. Aunto Matilda Melvina Brassfield who was Mrs. Auda E. Kirby of the Eufaula, McIntosh Co., OK area and my Grandm was Flossie Lee Brassfield who was born after her father "Sherd" Brassfield was killed, she married Acy (NMN) Kimbro at Eufaula, McIntosh Co., OK. Acy Kimbro and wife Flossie Lee Brassfield Kimbro are both bur in the GAR Cem at Miami, Ottawa Co., Oklahoma. I would like to share information with you and see what more you can give me on my Gees. Do you have much on a Samuel Gee and wife ?
