My Gr.Gr.Grandfather was SEDRICK Perry Brassfield B. June 19, 1838 in Grundy Co., MO M.June 3, 1860 in Newton Co., Ark. to Matilda Gee, they had 10 children I know of your Grandm being #9 Martha M. Brassfield B. October 19, 1884 & that is ALL I had on her until your message I just found. My link is #5 child General (being his first actual name) General Sheridan Brassfield, they called him Sherd, B. July 15, 1875 & was shot & killed Dec. 28, 1905 is bur. by Sedrick & wife Matilda (Gee) Brassfield at the Fame Cemetery at McIntosh Co., OK. My Gr. Aunt Matilda Melvina Brassfield was the first child of General Sheridan "Sherd" Brassfield & my Gr.Grandm. Addie Belle (Hinsley) Brassfield then Mrs. Wm. "Bud" Lawson of Eufaula, McIntosh Co., OK. my grandm. was not born yet when her father "Sherd" was shot & killed at their tent at Fame. My grandmother was Flossie Lee Brassfield B. July 8, 1906 at Melette or Fame, McIntosh Co., Ok. marr Acy (NMN) Kimbro B. June 5, 1898 in I.T. now Eufaula, McIntosh Co., Ok. Flossie Brassfield Kimbro D. July 1969 & Acy Kimbro D. August 16, 1972 they are both bur at the GAR Cem. at Miami, Ottawa Co., OK.Do you have the information on Sedrick Perry Brassfield from him back? I do. His father was Abner Brassfield and mother was Lucinda GEE (again) we have Gee's marrying in before Sedrick even married Matilda. I have all children of Sedrick & Matilda, being 10, what do you have? I have marriages, children & all for most all of them, but did not have your grandm. no marr listed for James A. Garfield yet, he was #8 he was B. Sept 10, 1882 and died after 1921 in Auburn, Oregon, served USArmy April 6, 1917 to July 2, 1921 at Treat,Ark.& was accidentally killed on a hunting trip, I do not have a marriage for hiim or children, do you? Will be anxious to share information.

I have information back to supposedly three Brassfield brothers that came to the U.S. & I believe the dates go back to 1700's.
