Yes, I think that my Rhoda is your Rhoda also. It has been stated that Shadrick Perry Standridge(son of Allen & Rhoda) b 8 Nov 1857 was named after the Brassfield's.

Do you have any ideal when they came to Oklahoma and why? I'm trying to find out when Allen and Rhoda came to Oklahoma.

The 1850 US Census for Newton Co,AR has Allen and Rhoda listed with Samuel & Mahaly Standridge. So I would say that Allen and Rhoda were living with Allen's parents in Newton Co. Ark.

The Brassfield's were listed about 6-8 above the Standridge's. So does that mean that they lived pretty close to one another - as the census taker went from house to house and # them as he went?

Elijah "Lige" Oliver Beck was born 21 FEb 1854 in northeast, MS. He was the son of Thomas P. Beck and Eliza Carroll. He married Martha Margaret Warren b. 1850/2 in Polk County,AR. Martha died in 1880. On 15 Sept 1884 Elijah Olive married Joanna Woods b. 17 FEb 1865. Elijah Oliver died on 5 Aug 1903. He was buried in the Brassfield Cemetery. Later this cemetery was moved for the construction of Lake Eufaula.
(by the way Eufaula Ok. is in Pittsburg Co.)
Hope this helps out. I have some more info on Elijah "Lige" Oliver Beck that I found in the Pittsburg County Oklahoma book that I have. If you want it let me know and I'll e-mail it to you at your address as it is fairly long. I would like to have any information on the Brassfield family that you think would be of interst to me.
Thanks for all your help.
