He married Elizabeth ROGERS (surname may have been LANE or WARDELL) about 1892. Family story says William and his family once lived in Okla. & William was killed in IL or Mo. He may have worked on the Santa Fe Railroad.
William & Elizabeth had 2 known children: 1)Benjamin Frank born Sept. 3, 1893 in Davenport, Iowa; died September 15, 1956 Quincy IL.; married Lori C.WELLS or CRENSHAW and may have married Carlene "Carrie" BOCK 2) Elizabeth born Feb 25, 1895 in Hannibal, Mo.; died October 09, 1913 in Hannibal; married Walter L. PEER.
William's wife had a child named Norman Grover LANE before William married her.
