ello Charles, welcome back. I found the Bosher family name on the France Gen. Forum that gives one Bosher as living in the town of Plouezoch, Sub Region; Finistere, Region; Bretagne, France 1737. I have written for info concerning this family but have received none. So I wonder if while doing your research in France if you gathered any data, first names, ancestors, etc. on this family. I know that 1737 is much later than the immigration of the Brashear(s) to America, but it seems to me that if the name Bosher, Boshers, Boshear(s) is a corruption of the name Brashear, as some suppose, then it must have been corrupted at an early age in France also. I am beginning to have some doubts about the connection between the VA,NC, TN. Boshers and the Huguenots (in the truest sense of the word) at all.
I would really like to hear from you on this.
Thanks, Carl Boshers, cboshers@usa.net
