I am not sure that Daniel Branstetter came from Holland. This information comes from a paper written by a family member, and it gives no source.

I do, however, have a photo copy of the Branstetter Family Bible kept by Daniel and Winnie's family. It says:

"Frederick Branstetter Father of Catharine Sturm, Henry Branstetter, Frederick Branstetter, Mary Ford, Magdalen Ford, & Daniel Branstetter Departed this Life the 20th day of February 1824 in the 70th year of his age.

Magdalean Branstetter Mother of the Last above named family & consort of F. Branstetter Departed this Life the 24th day of December 1834, according to the best account I have in the 70th year of her age."

I don't know where he was when he died, but my records have Daniel and Winnie married and living in Kingsport, Tennessee then moving to Ray County Missouri in 1836. It's possible that his father was in Virginia.

I'd be interested in talking to you further about this, and also the others you have talked to. I was raised in Oregon - I might know some of them! I now live in St. Louis, MO.
