I have 2 NEW copies of the 850 page Hardback PECK and KELLY genealogy titled "The Ancestors and Descendants of Judge John Alexander Kelly and Martha Matilda Peck Kelly and Related Families 1515 - 1959." According to the preface, "Dr. John Alexander Kelly (1889-1959), grandson of Judge John Alexander Kelly (1821-1900) and Martha Matilda Peck Kelly (1827-1890), researched his Kelly-Peck ancestors throughout his adult life. ... He traced the Borden and Peck families back to the early 1500s."
The book includes what appears to be several thousand surnames, about 10,000 to 12,000 individual names (over 120 pages of index), historical accounts, and over 25 pages of photos.
This is a massive volume of material for anyone who is researching the families included. In addition to Peck and Kelly, some of the family names with the most listings are: Adair, Adams, Allen, Borden, Branson, Carper, Coltrane, Cox, Depew, Farrier, Givens, Johnston, Jones, Key, Miller, and Snidow.
A lot of the material and families are from Southwestern Virginia in the currently-named counties of Giles, and Craig and the nearby area of what is now Monroe County West Virginia. There is also much other discussion of other areas of Virginia and other states.
The only reason I have and am selling the books is that this is my family and I was able to acquire several copies at a cost much less than what I was able to find on the internet. These are Out of Print, First Edition books with a 1994 copyright by Roberta Matilda Copenhaver. I am thrilled with my copy and if you are interested in one, please let me know. All I want to do is recover my cost and get them to people who will value them as I do. I need $75 each plus shipping.
