I'm looking for any information on the birth parents of James Branson (b. 2/26/1893 in West Liberty, Logan Co., OH). James was adopted by Harry and Sarah Kitchen around 1895 (supposedly when James' mother died) and the Kitchens changed James' name to Gail Prentiss Kitchen. There is a birth record in Logan Co. that identifies James Branson and Minnie Keith as the parents, but I haven't been able to confirm this through any other source.
I'm also interested in the family of James H. Branson and Mary Williams through their son John F. Branson. This John married Kate Moore in Logan Co., Ohio in 1886, and they had four children: Identa, Van Buren, Victor, and a son born around 1893, and I suspect this fourth child may in fact be the James I am looking for.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
