John Wesley Branscomb, 1831-?, KY>TX>OK

I am descended from John Wesley Branscomb (son of Thomas, son of John, son of Richard the immigrant), who married Eliza(beth) C. LAIR on 19 May 1851 in Wayne Co., KY. Shortly thereafter John and Eliza moved to Wood Co., TX, where they appear in the 1860 census. Their children as of the 1860 census included Nancy Elizabeth, age 8, Rebecca, age 6, and William, age 4, all born in TX. Sometime during the 1860's, the family moved to Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory (now LeFlore Co., OK), perhaps by way of Sebastian Co., AR. Eliza died when Nancy Elizabeth was a young girl, so it's possible this move was after her death. It is also possible, though very murky, that John married a widow HARRISON either before or after the move, who had two children by her previous marriage, Jim and Barney, who may have taken the Branscomb name.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone with information on this family after they left KY.
