I wanted to get word out to all the Branscums that Fred Tubbs and I have decided that we would like to start a Branscum DNA project. Since Fred is very busy with other things I am going to be the coordinator of it. We feel like this DNA project will be very beneficial to our Branscum research. My computer crashed a few weeks ago and I lost all of my email addresses and also all the information I had on all of my Branscum contacts. You are the only one I have received email from so I was able to get your address back into my address book. Can you let all of the Branscum researchers, that you have contact with, know what we are doing? I know that you also have a webpage maybe you could mention this project on there? To participate in this project they need to be a male with the last name of Branscum, or any of the other spellings for this name. The DNA they test is in the Y-Chromosome and is passed down from father to son. With this project we hope to learn what connection we have with the other Branscombs in the United States, England and Canada and also prove some of the relationships that we have only been able to guess at in the past. I am going to send you a link where you can read about the Family Tree DNA and how it works. Carolyn Ramsey Canida & Diann Pondela (Link) http://www.kerchner.com/dna.info.htm Thanks!
