I just found notes taken by Mary Etta Campbell Badgley when she was workinf on John Harrison Branscom (notice the way she always spells it). Here they are:
Macon, Mo. in marriage record book "E" page 74.
John Harrison Branscom was married to Sarah Ann Brown on Dec 4, 1851. John Branscom was 5 ft. 10 in. wt. 135 to 152. Dark Complexion, farmer, good health, politics - Republican.
Removals: To Putnam Co. Mo. 1860, To Macon Co. Mo. 1863, To Putnum Co Mo. 1869, To Carroll Co. Ark. 1873, To Putunam Co. Mo. 1874, To Cloud Co. Kansas 1881, To Putnam Co. MO. 1882, To White Co. Ark. 1910. Died Jan 1, 1913 and is buried there.
Sarah Ann Brown Branscom: Height 5 ft. 6 in., wt. 131 to 146. Complextion light, dark hair, blue eyes, health good from youth to age 44, delicate from 44 to 54, good after 54. Education limited, Religion - Presbyterian. Died July 3, 1896, buried at Pleasant Home Cemetery.
Some say John H. Branscom's father name was Henry, some say Will, but he is buried in Rose Cemetery in the northwest part. The onlu marker is a rock. His wife was Elizabeth Stone. After her husband died she married a Houghton and is buried at Pleasant Home Cemetery. Died Jan 10, 1898 was 87 yrs. old.
