Does anyone have the details of the Graveyard on the property of John Brannon whole land was in early Frederick Co, VA which later became Berkely Co, VA and then Berkeley Co, WVA. It is somewhere sw of Ganotown, in the Back Creek District.?
The neighbor and possible relative of John who is buried there is my Rev War Patriot James Barr, b 1753 Phil,PA, enlisted Sussex Co, NJ 1776, then lived in Hunterdon Co, NJ in 1780-1786, then bought land next to John Brannon in Frederick Co, VA. The DAR has that he is buried on the farm of John in a Graveyard. My relatives looked for it in 1960 but said the land was plowed over!

Also about the Steidley connection. They were also neighbors. Solomon Steidley married Rachel Barr, dau of James Barr and Rachel. Rachels two brothers, Hugh and Benjmain Barr, Rees, Steidleys, Hendersons all moved after the death of James Barr in 1838 to Barr's Township, Empire Dist, Macoupin Co, IL where they farmed. See Ancestry.com census of 1840, 1850, 1860, 1870, for these families.
Cemetery of Solomon Steidley and a Methodist Cemetery have their burials.
