An effort is presently under way in Nova Scotia to trace all the descendants of Archibald Brannen, born circa 1768 in North Carolina and died June 22, 1827, on Cape Sable Island,Barrington Township, Nova Scotia. His wife, Mary Atkinson, was born May 30, 1786, in Barrington Township, Nova Scotia. Her date of death is not known. There are already over 3500 names (including spouses) in this data base. Archibald and Mary had 12 children and two of them "went away and were not heard of again". Presumably they went to the US. The two sons were Archibald(Jr), born in Barrington Township on December 09, 1802, and Jeremiah, born on January 29, 1810. If anyone out there knows they are or thinks they may be descended from Archibald Jr or Jeremiah would you please contact me. jbrannen@brunnet,net
