Today while at the local FHL I found a Charles Edward Brann that was NOT mine. Mine is Charles Edward Brann b.01/15/1838 who was born in Adams Co. Ohio and is mentioned above.
The one I found was born 01/01/1868 and is the son of Mathew M. Brann and Roanna Black. I just thought I'd let people know there is a descrepency there. I found this Charles Edward Brann, son of Mathew and Roanna born in two different states, one Putnam Co, Indiana and the other state Edgar Co. Illinois. The IL one is on an Ancestral File and the IN is an IGI file.
This was my first trip to a FHL and the only name I looked for....I certainly hope the rest of the records are better! Think I'll stick to census records.
