Searching for the parents of Ephraim L. Brown/Brawn, born 1830 in Jefferson, ME according to his admission papers to Togus VA in 1900. He died at Togus in 1904. Earliest known of him was in Orono working as a Sawyer in 1850, married Priscilla Orcutt on 9 Jun 1853 in Old Town, was in Old Town in 1860 with daughters Ellen (1854), Anna (1855), and Emma (1856). He enlisted as Ephraim L. Brawn in 1861 from "Upper Stillwater" at age of 31 in Co. K, 2nd Inf. Reg., and again in 1863 at age 33 from Old Town in Co. I, 1st Heavy Artillery Reg., mustering out on 1 Sep 1866. After this, he cannot be found in census records until his admission into Togus VA. As he stated he was born in Jefferson, I believe he may have been a son of Richard and Abigail Brawn/Brann. Does anyone have any further info on Ephraim?
