Coral,

There is a George Brann in the 1880 Census in Whatcom County, Washington. He is an overseer for a logging crew.
This George, born in Maine, is 31, so was born about 1849.

My interest in your George is that my great grandfather, George Brand (ne Bran), whose father was born in Maine, moved to Whatcom county about 1891 was also in the timber business.

Could our George's be connected? Is your George the one that was in Whatcom in 1880? When did your George die?
