Searching for parentage of Simon Bran, b. May 29, 1780, m. Betsy Balch September 4, 1799, 9 children, m. 2nd Mary Somes, 3 children, d. June 6, 1853 at Albion, Maine, buried Libby Hill Cem. there. His son George A. Bran was my gggrandfather. George added the second N during his lifetime. Some in my family say that Simon Bran was brother to John, James, and Aaron, sons of George Brann (Brawn) and Mary Weymouth. I've seen no convincing proof. Can anyone help?
