A whole lot to wrap your minds around with William and Lindsey BORN in NC
Concerning the 1830 census of Roane Co Tennessee: A LOT TO WRAP ONE's MIND AROUND!
First about myself:
I am finding many differences between actual indexes an films and strongly suggest that everyone does their own investigations without blindly accepting other's surmisals. It seems there is a credibility factor in every single item we examine.I have had some strong researchers suggest to me that everyone just needs to "make their own family".I was, am and always will be a pragmatist and perfectionist and dogmatic in wanting it outlined perfectly.
p 14William Branham 2021001-110001
2 boys under 5; 2 boys 10-15; 1 boy 15-20; male 40-50; 1 female under 5; 1 female under 10; female 20-30.This female could not possibly
be the mother of the three older boys in my humble opinion although she probably was the mother of the three, younger children.
Could Lindsey possibly be the 15 to 20 year old?
Could THIS be the FATHER of William b. 1804 NC and went to Cass Co., MO, and the father of Lindsey born 9 August 1909 in North Carolina?
Who was this William?
also on p 14 was:
Jefferson Branham000100-000000
&
?Lous Branham 110000-010001
MANY state Lindsey was born in Kentucky, however I think this is NOT TRUE.I was stuck on James Branham of Culpepper for a long time however
I also do not believe James was the father of Lindsey at this point. Both Lindsey and this William born in 1804 were on the 1850 Cass County Mo census.
I believe there was on more son, perhaps a John or possibly a James.
There was also a James Pursley on p 14 0320001-201001.THIS JAMES PURSLEY is REALLY important because after Lindsey had left and gone Cass County Missouri there was on the 1850 ROANE Co. Census a 15 fifteen year old Lindsey Branham living with James Pursley and his wife Phrema.
I do not recall why I searched or how I found it however I did I ?think find this same Lindsey Branham in Galletin Co., IL in 1860 with a Man named
George Thomas who had several Thomas children and Linsey Branham age 22.I pray a higher power will intervene in this crazy mixed up family and
allow all the great minds to sort this all out.Very frustrating after nearly thirty years of collecting every last person named Branham and
part of the other spellings.
Continuing on with 1830 films:
p 15 William Branham, the younger man 10001-00001 a man of 20-30 with a wife the same age and a male under 5 years on age.
IF you will allow me to imagine for a second here this could have been the slightly older brother of Lindsey who went to Missouri.
and Lindsey could have still been at home.Perhaps there was yet another son by the older wife.I am ASSUMING only for the purpose of
discussion here that Lindsey and William had two other brothers; the two others might have been John and James and born in the Carolinas.
I am assuming that their actual mother died before they left the Carolinas, and this may well be the problem of sorting this broken home
out.
p. 13Thomas Branham 00021001-0112001
Thomas was 50-60 and wife was 40-50
Page 21 was great with three families:
next door to each other
Thomas Branham 1000010-21101 mu5; m 20-30; 2 females under 5; female 5-10; female 10-15; and female 20-30.
John Branham 000010-00010 male 20-30, female 15-20
AND
Mary Branham 00020-00100001Mary Branham was apparent the HH with 2 males 15-20, and a female 10-15.Whew!Here is another candidate for my Lindsey.
p 21 Benjamin Branham012000001-2210001 m 5-10; 2 m 10-15; m 50-60; 2 f under 5; 2 females 5-10; female 10-15; and female 40-50.
My conclusion is that both William aged 46 and Lindsey age 41 on the CASS Co, Missouri census could have possibly been the son of William Sr, of the 1830 Roane County census.
