Larry: Hope you are still searching for Brandstetters!
I have three Brandstetter girls who married into my Schmidt family. In researching my Schmidts in Plymouth Co, I found a George Brandstetter and wife Carolina in Staunton TWP on the 1880 Census. The age is correct and there is a Jacob (age 26) Brandstetter and wife Lena listed next.
Two of the sisters who married Schmidts are Lena (age 30) married Philip Schmidt and Carolina (age 22) married Adam Schmidt. These two families are in Plymouth TWP. I don't know where the third girl is, but from the family I know she is Elizabeth married to Christian Schmidt.
