The reason I am fairly sure about the Studebaker last name is that my grandmother told me about her and said some branch of the studebaker family educated one of her cousins through college. Which made a big impression on her as she only went to 8th grade. She was born in 1893, married my grandfather in Dec 1911 and together they moved to Iowa in 1914. They had 6 children, Herb, and Inez both born in missouri, Bill, don born 1921 my dad, and elton, known as Babe born about 1923.
I use to ask my grandparents about their parents and other relitives but being a child at the time I did not write all the information down. It is sad to think that in only a couple of generations information can be lost for ever. thank God of the internet and interested people like your self that helps preserve these historys
