Josiah Brandon line progress

Thought I'd spread the word. The latest DNA results point to a strong connection between the line of Josiah Brandon b.1761 Burke Co, NC m. Rachel Brown and that of the eastern Pennsylvania Brandons from Huntington Twp, then-York now-Adams County. A 37-marker exact match so far.

Josiah's descendants/researchers have studied his father, a Tory Captain Brandon who died at King's Mountain and found his elusive first name was Thomas. With the addition of the DNA results, it's starting to look like this Capt. Tom is probably the MIA eldest child of John Brandon b.1715 and his wife Mahly/Mary Cathey, as named in his father's 1774 will.

Lots of excitement and brainstorming with the opening up of this possibility.
