Houston Herald Sept. 1, 1955 Houston, Missouri Dora Elsie, oldest daughter of Charles and Margaret Brandon was born June 19, 1878 at Houston and passed away at her home in Mound City, Mo., Aug. 7, 1955 at the age of 77 years, 1 month and 19 days. In 1907 she was converted and became a member of the Baptist church in Houston. Her membership was transferred to the First Baptist Church of Mound City, Mo. in 1920. On April 6, 1898, she was united in marriage to James Kissiar of Houston. They moved to Holt Co. in 1917. To this union were born nine children: two infant sons preceded her in death. Surviving besides her husband are four sons and three daughters: Guy Kissiar, Torrington, Wyoming; Tom and Wilford Kissiar of Wichita, Kansas; Tech Sgt. James Russell Kissiar, US A. F., Korea; Mrs. Nina Draper Peabody, Kansas; Mrs. Opal Buckles and Mrs. Lona Carder of Mound City; also 29 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Don Kissiar of Licking August 11 at 2 p.m. Richard Kissiar and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Kissiar and son, Don of Licking attended the funeral.
