Jonas was the second son of William Warren Brand. Jonas was born 1788 in Edgecombe Co., N C and by 1790 had migrated with his parents to Georgia.
Jonas 1st married Sally Goodman on March 18, 1821. Together they had the following children:
William E. Brand b May 28, 1823
Moses T. Brand b 1824
Elizabeth b 1826
Keziah b 1827
Zaccariah David b Mar. 28, 1828
Then Sally Goodman died. Later Jonas married Harriet Winn at an unverifiable time in (about 1831) Georgia. Together Jonas and Harriet had the following children:

Joseph N. b 1836
Isaiah b 1841
Nancy Amana b 1842
Robert Mathis Cleveland b Mar. 3, 1843
Nathan b Mar. 27, 1845
John G. b 1847
Rebecca A b May 27, 1850
Sara Harriett b June 2, 1851
Margaret Jane b Dec. 16, 1852
Pricilla Ann b Dec. 16, 1852
I have listed 17 of Jonas' children. Harriett's obiturary says that they had 22, however that is doubtful. More than likely there were other children that chummed with her own and they were thought of as children.
I have other information on this family and would like to share what I have with anyone interested. In return I'd like to get acquainted with those who are not already a part of this very large family. Any information you might be willing to share would be greately appreciated.
