There is also a listing under the surname list for a Gail Brand posted by Jennifer Terry. Jennifer and I are consins.

William W. Brand took part in the Revolutionary War. On Aug. 16, 1781 he married Sarah Bryant in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. Sarah was born about 1760 in Edgecombe County, N C. Later they migrated with their family to Georgia. After moving around a few times they finally settled in what is now Gwinnett County Georgia.

The children of William and Sarah are as follows:

Benjamin b about 1786
Jonas Thomas b about 1788
Gail b about 1789
William W. Jr. b about 1791
Elizabeth b about 1792
Cashuel (Cashwell) b about 1793
Moses b about 1795
James b about 1797
Daniel b about 1800
Thomas b July 6, 1803
Christine (Kitty) b about 1805
Isaiah C. b October 3, 1808
