Brand in Georgia

I am searching for any information on a Zachary Brand who would have been in, or around, Rome, GA in the late 1920's-1930. He married a Bessie Fondren, (my grandmother) and they had 1 child born on 6-1-1930, a daughter (my mother). Due to unfortunate circumstances, she never met her father & doesn't know what could have happened to him. My grandmother passed away 2 years ago, so all my leads are at an end. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
