My grandmother was Margaret Boone Brand (b. 1867, d. 1944) in Graves Co., KY. She married L. Frank Vaughan. Her father was B. F. (Frank, I think) Brand (b.1834, m. Elizabeth F. Beadles in 1866.) I have no information about his parents. The Brand name may be a corruption of O'Brien. Some family came down the Ohio on a flatboat in 1805. Might have lived in Boonesborough. Would appreciate any leads. Thanks.
