Brand Family - Westerly, R.I. 1600's

I am searching for others who have researched Brand family name from a Thomas Brand who came to Salem, MA in 1629. This family may have moved to coastal Rhode Island in 1600's. Looks like Thomas had son named Thomas (and son named Tobias). Name of Robert Brand in mid-1700's from same area. Simeon Brand (Brant) born 1758 near Westerly, R.I. is also of great interest. Simeon died in Angelica, NY in 1842. The second Thomas married a Sarah Larkin in Stonington, CT October 29, 1672.

If any of this rings a bell or you have come across the Rhode Island or western New York Brand/Brant name please reply. I am trying to connect my Michigan family to the NY and R.I. Brands.
