Hello,
I have been doing a bit of Brand research.Sieways in my family tree.In the Coventry,RI probate Vol.7 page 260 there is a mention of Simeon Brand,Thankful Carr and Hannah Gorton, all of Coventry being children of Phineas Brand who was in the War of 1812 in Capt William Battey's Company 25th Regiment and that he died in service in 1813 in Greenbush?,NY.I think the timeframe would be the mid 1830s.
.................Mike
