Can anyone help me out with a Thomas D. Brand (1818-1904) who married J. M. Thompson, first name is possibly Jincy or something similar. They lived in GA and Neshoba county MS. Their son Charlton married Emma Backstrom (daughter of David Murray Backstrom and Mary Magdalene Daniel), and second a Mildred M. Murry? Her first name comes from the 1900 census, and she's referred to as a Miss Murry in a Backstrom family history, but I haven't found a marriage record yet. He moved to Texas, had a son Marion. In C. A. Brand's bio in a Texas history book it gives his maternal grandfather's name as Isiah Thompson, of Georgia and English origin. His paternal grandfather is said to be Zachariah Brand, born in South Carolina and a soldier in the war of 1812.
Is anyone working these lines, and can help me with locations? I think the Thompson, Murray and Lewis lines will connect in the Carolinas or Virginia.
