Since d.o.b. for Alexander Brand is only approximate, and place of birth uncertain, perhaps he was the son of Robert Brand and Ann Richardson m. 1750, St. George's H.P.C., London,and bap.Scotch Church Swallow St.,1751,one known sib. William, bap.1753.
Family Search gives bap. of Robert Brand as 'about 1725'.Source given as a 'church member of LDS',but no further details. Unfortunately there are now no original records to check this, so ???reliability.
If verified this might provide a link with the Edinburgh family through Sir Alexander Brand, an Edinburgh merchant, who resided in St. Martin's par. until 1727.
