Rereading your post...I noticed I forgot to mention possible parents for your great grandmother, Eugenia Mae Brand. Hezekiah had 6 siblings, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. I a good deal of information on the children of a few of his brothers and near nothing on the other two.
His oldest brother, Bryant, who lived in the Randolph Co., AL area was married to Rachel *MaidenNameUnknown they had atleast 3 children. John b. c.1856, William b. c.1858 and Martha b. c.1870. I haven't done further research on this family, but will certainly give it some time. There is quite a gap in the children so maybe there were others.
Hezekiah's next brother, John W. married a lady named Sarah *MaidenNameUnknown and I don't have any other information on him. His next brother, Benjamin H. Brand
married Orpha Farrar. They had children, 2 or 3 daughters born about the same time as your great grandmother. I need to do more research on this family as well. Hezekiah's younger brother was David Calloway Brand. He married Eliza Ann Kirkland. I have accounted for their children and don't think this is a possibility this was your Great Grandmother's parents. I think the best two candidates for her parents are Bryant Brand or John W. Brand. All these Brands descend from William Warren Brand born in N.C. settled in the Gwinnett Co./Walton Co. area. All of the above mentioned siblings settled in Alabama.
Let me know if you know of any of these lines and I will try to help. Since Donna Brand passed away a few years ago, I have tried to continue helping Brands in her place.
She in her final days was referring people to me since I had taken her research and added quite a bit.
