In your post you note Henry Jr.'s death date as about 1784. He died a suicide in or shortly before 1780. Place of death unknown. His then eldest son, Henry III, inherited his plantation in 1780. He had to go back to Fauquier Co., Va., from Laurens Co., S.C., to claim the land.

I'm curious about the William Bramlett you have listed as son of Henry Jr. and Margaret. I haven't been able to document his relationship. There was a William Bramlett who lived in Laurens and Spartanburg counties who married a Hendrix. Her first name doesn't appear in the records. There is another William Bramlett in Sumter County who married a woman named Jane. He is the son of Anna Ballard and Rev. William Bramblett Jr. of Bedford Co., Va.

So what do you or anyone else out there know about the William who is supposed to be Henry Jr.'s son? Are there any documents that link him to Henry or Margaret? Is it possible that he is instead the son of William and Elizabeth who had the 1773 royal land grant in Laurens County? Thanks!
