The Spring 2007 issue of ANTIQUES AND FINE ART magazine on p. 116 pictures in an advertisement a painting ca. 1920 of the "Farm home park of John D. Bramlett 3 miles west, Eldorado, IL." At the bottom of the painting is the legend "Born April 8, 1824, Died Feb. 9, 1915," evidently referring to Mr. Bramlet. No other information about the gentleman or the farm is given in the ad. This fine painting should be made known to the Bramlet/Bramlett family. I am scanning it in case any of the descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the Bramlett family ought to have it--it is too good to be missed by the family. It may not have extensive genealogy value, but it certainly does have a whole lot of family and historic value. My email address can be found by clicking on my underlined name above. Please respond by EMAILING ME DIRECTLY and NOT by posting a reply on this genforum site, which I might not see. If it were a painting of a Pease farm, I'd certainly want someone to do the same for me. Bill Pease, Lancaster, PA Notify Administrator about this message?
