Mrs. Gertrude Sylvania Bramlett, 79, of Helen died saturday, July 20, 2002 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2002 from the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Ted Kelly officiated. Burial followed in Yonah Memorial Gardens, Demorest.
Mrs. Bramlett was bornin habersham County and had spent most of her life there. She had also lived in hartwell for several years before moving to white County in 1995. She was a homemaker and a member of the Community Baptist Church in Sautee. Mrs. Bramlett was preceeded in death by her husband, Roy Mitchell Bramlett, Sr.; her son, Roy Mitchell Bramlett, Sr.; her son, Roy Mitchell Bramlett Jr.; and her granddaughters, Angela Hilton and Aundria Diane "Boo" Chastain.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeannetta Speer of Norcross, Joyce cantrell of Helen, Brenda Sims of Clayton, and Mitchelene Ellenburg of Demorest; brother, paul Tench of Anderson, S.C.; sisters, lou Fitzgerald of Belmont, N.C., and Pauline Tench of Anderson; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Flowers will be accepted, however those wishing to do so may make memorial contributions to community Baptist Church, Sky lake Rd. Sautee.
Alexander's Gateway chapel Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
