Becoming frustrated with my inability to connect my GGGF R.M.
Bramblet (1860 census - Navarro County, TX) with his ancestors.
According to the 1860 census, he was born in Georgia and at the
time, was 28 years old. I believe (but don't know)that his full
name may have been Reuben McKendrick Bramblet, as he had a son
(my GGF) born in 1870 named Ruben McKendrick. The 1860 census
shows R.M. with wife E.J.(Elizabeth Jane-Age 25-born Tennessee);
one-year-old daughter A.J. (Alice Jane); and a 62-year-old woman
named Flora M. Cloud (or Flora McCloud), who I think was probably
Elizabeth's mother, and therefore R.M.'s mother-in-law. Would
appreciate help from any source in connecting R.M. with his parents.
