Mike and the rest of you interested, Since it isn't posted and none of you know of the marriage and family of my ggg-grandmother Rebecca, you wouldn't know of the connection to your Bramlett/Bramel/etc. Finding the relationship of the Barnum name with the Bramlett/Bramel/etc hasn't been easy. I have had to reseach my Willey/Woolley families with the help of a Family Bible. Following them back to Elizabeth Willey and Thomas Willey and Isaac Willey. I, more than any of you can imagine, was surprised to find Rebecca Barnum's mother was Elizabeth Willey. Friendly researchers helped me putting facts together with evidence to prove the relationship. I admit now, it figures, seems these families intermarried cousins and such very often. Mike, you have written me off genforum many times. When you are especially negative, you post here. You want proof of my connection and as I told you by direct email, I will not take a chance of doing anything to ruin the few pages of my Family Bible pages to copy it directly for you or anyone else. Should any of you feel powerful to put me down, so be it. I have my proof other than the Family Bible, and since there are those of you that publish books/etc and profit, I will not give you copies of my documents. Let me suggest you read articles from "Benjamin Barry and His Descendants". The DAR has accepted his information. A quick reference that is not said to be totally researched (and yet has some value information in it) is http://www.barnum.org Rather than publish my own site as another said to me, why rewrite history again. I am not in competition with anyone. I merely wish to give that which I have found. I have been answering questions to many that have emailed me directly not wanting to get in the middle of this on GenForum. Perhaps Mike, you just offended me from the start and get your kicks this way. We all learn new things everyday until we get to where we think we know it all. I know my family, should you want to believe is totally up to you. If you want try to prove me wrong. I have the family of Rebecca after her marriage and her descendants, me being one of them. If you are family, fine; if not, not everyone is. Nor do I claim to getting along with all my family. For those of you with real interest, I will say more of the surnames of my family that cross over the inter-family lines are: Sherwood, Ferster, and Weaver. They intermix from my mother's paternal and maternal side of the family. That is the reference to which I referred of staying within the family lines and marrying cousins. Betty
