MaryJane,
I hope you still have this email. I had responded to an earlier post you made concerning the White family.I want to touch base with you. My White ancestor, my 4x great grandmother, is Ann(e) White. I believe she was born in Colrain, MA around 1792-3. She eventually made it to Canada, and married Chester Beeman, who was born in CT around the same time, maybe a little earlier. They settled in Essex county Ontario. I believe she had at least one brother and one sister, who also settled in Essex county: David b. 1796 and Margaret b.1797. Though I can't find birth records for any of them, the death record for Ann White Beeman states she was born in Colrain, which is pretty specific, even if it is second hand info. I have a hunch that my ancestor is the child of John White, who may be the brother of your Margaret. This is just a hunch. Along with the mention in the death record, I found out that one of the three original settlers to North Gower Village,ON was Sebra Beaman, who may be the brother to Ann's husband, my 4x great grandfather Chester Beeman. This could explain how they could have met.
I just wanted to get this information to you, to see if you learned anything more about the Whites. Even if you don't know anything about this, I hope that you will keep this info in mind, in case you come across anything.
thx
Tina Scott
